At last, a quality Guestbook/Forum that does not require you to register, log-in/log-out, remember a password, complete a form or jump through hoops. Gee, what a great concept ! :) My name is Bob Houlston and I'm the guy behind Free guitar tips + tabs.
This forum was set up after many requests from readers wanting a place to: Have discussion about guitar playing techiques; Share information about guitars and accessories; Get to know other guitar enthusiasts (of all levels of experience).
While I love playing the guitar and am constantly learning about it I don't have a monoply on all knowledge on the topic. I'm excited about this forum because between us we know a lot more and together we can achieve greater heights in our musicianship.
So please take a look around the forum, ask questions (no question is too dumb to ask), answer questions, leave tips and share your ideas.
Eloquent, witty, quirky and wonderful responses will be displayed forever (or until Bravenet goes into liquidation): mindless, spineless, heartless or just plain stupid messages will be deleted eventually. You know how to behave yourself.
I want to make this web site the best it can be, so please tell me what you think and how I can improve it by signing the Guestbook/Forum with your opinions, ideas or even criticisms - I welcome them all. You, the reader of this site, are my most important critic and commentator.
As always, corrections, improvements, suggestions, further questions, comments, compliments, jokes, condolences, greetings, wishes of luck for my upcoming gigs, random thoughts, adverts, whatever... all welcome.
Terms and conditions
This page on the website facilitates the ability for readers to access the Guestbook/Forum to add their own comments. I encourage you to respond, sharing your thoughts and experiences. I just ask that your comments are constructive, polite and tasteful.
Every comment is read after it is published and must comply with my rules. Every comment is judged individually. I ask for your e-mail details purely in order to contact you about your comment.
I reserve the right (on behalf of myself and any moderator which I appoint) to edit, not put on the website or delete any comments you submit if, in our view, you have not complied with the rules of conduct set out below.
Postings should relate to your own personal experience. You should not name any individuals (other than yourself) or include information through which someone else could identify such an individual. If you want to comment on someone else's experience, (e.g. a musician or someone you work for) then you may do so if you ensure that you are not named in the posting and you state how the other person is connected to you (e.g. 'my roadie').
While I acknowledge that references to political parties and their policies may often be inevitable, I reserve the right to exclude comments which are purely party-political in nature.
Do not write comments that are unlawful, harassing, defamatory, abusive, threatening, harmful, obscene, profane, sexually suggestive or racist, homophobic, sexist or inciting of hatred against any group. No comment with swearing or profanity will be published. Do not incite people to commit any crime, including incitement of racial hatred. Comments advocating criminal or immoral activities will not be allowed.
Multiple or repetitive postings will be deleted.
Impersonating someone is unacceptable as is using offensive nicknames. Please don't be offended if you are asked to verify who you are if you claim to be someone well-known.
You are legally liable for the things you write, so think carefully about what you say. Your comments should be truthful and reflect your honestly held opinions. I am legally liable for publishing the comments but you could also be sued for making them.
You should not use my comments feature to make complaints about individual venues or recording studios where the matter should be dealt with under the MU complaints procedures.
If you find any comments offensive or objectionable you may make a complaint by contacting me via the Home page.
Violation of any of the rules above may lead to your comment being rejected and an order to block correspondence from your e-mail address. I also reserve the right to delete any comment, at any time, and for any reason.
Take some time to browse my site, I would value your input. I can take constructive praise... honest ! ;)
